I am so humiliated.

But I want to share this personal story with you -- so that you don't ever have to go through the same terrible situation.

Let me tell you what happened...

My son, Tyler, an 18-year-old senior in high school, is dating a lovely young woman in his class named Cindy. My husband and I have invited her over for dinner at our house at least 3 times. But, every time we ask, Tyler tells us that she can't make it.

I am really suspicious when she turns us down for the fourth time, so I confront Tyler about it.

"Is there a reason Cindy doesn't want to come to our house?" I ask him in frustration.

I burst into tears when my son finally admits that he is embarrassed to bring his girlfriend to our house because it's so messy and cluttered.

That was it. I pledged right then and there that things would be different from now on. I knew what needed to be done. So I did it...

Last weekend, I spent all day Saturday and Sunday cleaning.

I thought a lot while I cleaned and organized. I realized that if this could happen to me, it could happen to anyone. That's the reason I'm writing this.
